Biography

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Glens announced today that goalkeeper Bianca Dominguez has signed with the club for the 2023 USL W League season, pending league approval.

A native of Hercules, California, the stalwart shot-stopper has been invited to U.S. Youth National Team ID Camp and is headed to Duke University in the fall after starring at club level for Bay Area Surf’s ECNL Under-19 team. After impressing the coaching staff at Open Tryouts, she earned a spot in San Francisco.

“I’m so excited to play with some of the top players in the Bay Area and some elite coaches,” said Dominguez. “I look forward to see you all soon. Up the Glens!”

In addition to winning a club national championship last year, she received All-Pac North Conference accolades for Bay Area Surf’s WPSL team. But before she heads to the ACC from Hercules High School, she will protect the net in San Francisco this summer.

“Bianca is an incredible shot-stopper. I can see why Duke would want to sign her,” said Glens head coach Mike Sharabi. “Even at our tryouts, she was saving attempts from point-blank range. I'm looking forward to seeing her do that this summer.”

"We are excited to have Bianca back this season," said Glens assistant coach Heath Piper, who coached her at club level. "She reads the game very well and is explosive off her line. Not only is she a great shot-stopper, but she can play and distribute with both feet which is very important in how we like to play. She is a player that leads by example and sets the tone on the training field everyday as well."
