Biography

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Glens announced today that Eric Pearce has re-signed with the club for the 2023 USL League Two season, pending league approval.

Entering his third campaign with the first team after working his way up through the SF Glens Academy and later the SFSFL second team, Pearce has become a mainstay on the roster.

A San Francisco native who currently attends Cal Poly Pomona, the left back scored one goal and assisted on another last USL League Two season, providing valuable experience as the team made their first appearance in the national playoffs.

“I’m super excited to return to my city and soccer community and build on our successes from last season,” Pearce said. “Up the Glens!”

Pearce recently finished his first collegiate go-around with Cal Poly Pomona after spending his freshman year playing for UCLA. An All-San Francisco performer coming out of Lowell High School, he was a part of the Glens Academy’s first graduating Under-19 class and helped lead the SFSFL second team coached by Bill Chu to the playoffs for the first time in several years.

“Eric Pearce embodies exactly what a San Francisco Glen is,” said Glens head coach Gabe Saucedo. “He’s so motivated and works so hard. He’s a leader and the players feed off of his energy.”
