Biography

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Glens Soccer Club announced today that Stanford forward Jasmine Aikey has signed on for the 2023 USL W League season, pending league approval.

A Palo Alto native and a U.S. Youth National Team camp veteran, Aikey enjoyed a fruitful first season on The Farm, scoring 10 goals in 2022 for the eventual Pac-12 champions. Among her highlights were a hat trick against Oregon State and a sparkling four-goal outing against San Jose State.

A United Soccer Coaches All-Region first team and All-Pac-12 second team performer, she is the Glens’ third signing after fellow Cardinal teammate Elise Evans and Duke defender Elle Piper.

“I’m super hyped to join the club for their first ever W League season, and I cannot wait to play in front of some amazing fans,” said Aikey. “Up the Glens, and I cannot wait to join the team this summer.”

Aikey, a veteran of USYNT camps at Under-14, Under-15, and Under-17 level, arrived at Stanford after graduating from Bryant Academy and finishing an illustrious club career at the San Jose Earthquakes Academy, and later, MVLA, winning one national championship at each stop.

“We are extremely excited to announce the signing of Jasmine Aikey,” said Glens head coach Mike Sharabi. “She has the exceptional ability to take over a game and be a difference-maker on the pitch.”

“I’ve had the pleasure to work with Jasmine from her days at San Jose Earthquakes Girls Academy and she truly is one of a kind when it comes to pure domination,” added Glens assistant coach Jovan Yamagishi. “Not only does she have the ability to make big plays to impact the game, her best characteristic is in her ability to make others shine through her presence. I would pay for a ticket to watch her play 100 percent.”
