Biography

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Glens announced today that Junior Mahi has re-signed with the club for the 2023 USL League Two season, pending league approval.

In his first campaign, the forward made an immediate impact on games with his blinding speed and playmaking ability. Mahi netted five times, with two games decided by his goals.

A native of Paris, France, and now residing in Reno, Nevada, the father of two is focused on bringing the Glens back to the national playoffs for a second straight year.

“I’m very excited for this new season,” Mahi said. “See you all soon. Up the Glens!”

Before arriving in San Francisco, Mahi starred for Battleborn FC in Reno. Despite being a virtual unknown in the 2022 USL League Two preseason, he showed up to the Glens’ open tryouts and became the lone player that day to make the team. He would not disappoint, earning a starting spot by the third game of the season.

“Junior comes up big in big moments,” said Glens head coach Gabe Saucedo. “You can’t teach his speed and he just has a knack for finding the back of the net.”
