“I’m super excited to be joining the SF Glens this summer for their first ever USL women’s team,” said Fontana. “I love this coaching staff and I’m excited to play with a lot of familiar faces. Up the Glens!”

In college, Fontana has risen to the occasion in big games, most notably when she scored the game-winner over archrival Stanford in 2021. The Burlingame, California native has also earned back-to-back Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll honors for the Golden Bears after graduating from Burlingame High School.

At club level, Fontana was a top-five goalscorer nationally and earned a bronze medal at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy championships playing for the San Jose Earthquakes Academy.

“I’m happy to announce that we have signed Mia Fontana to our W League team,” said Glens head coach and Burlingame High School alum Mike Sharabi. “In addition to her having three years of experience in the Pac-12 at Cal, I’m excited to have a fellow BHS Panther on our roster.”
