SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Glens announced today that Nádia Gomes has signed with the club for the 2023 USL W League season, pending league approval.

A native of Viseu, Portugal, who grew up in Sandy, Utah, Gomes has represented the national team at Senior and Under-19 level, amassing a total of 10 international caps and three goals. In the 2018 Algarve Cup, she scored in the Third-Place Game as A Selecção das Quinas earned their first ever bronze medal in the competition.

Gomes also enjoyed a decorated collegiate career at BYU, scoring 23 goals and notching 23 assists as well as being named West Coast Conference Player of the Year after her sophomore season. After her time with the Cougars, Gomes was selected 23rd overall in the 2018 NWSL Draft.

“I’m super excited to be joining the SF Glens this season,” said Gomes. “I can’t wait to see everybody out there. Up the Glens!”

“We’re very happy to announce the signing of Nádia Gomes. She showed very well in our open tryout,” said Glens head coach Mike Sharabi. “Nádia brings blistering pace on the wing, which she will use to get behind defenses and put constant pressure on our opponents outside backs. She also has experience at the professional and international levels, which will help her immensely in the W League.”
