SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – San Francisco’s newest PDL team continues to make moves on the sporting side, bringing in Mike McNeill as the SF Glens SC’s new Technical Director. Mike will continue in his role as U13+ Director of Coaching for the SF Glens Evolution youth club.

A four year starter for San Francisco State University Men’s Soccer Team, McNeill has shown the same dedication to his coaching career, earning his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, serving on the United Soccer Coaches Technical Advisory Committee, and being named the 2016 NSCAA Western Region Coach of the Year. Additionally, he is currently completing his UEFA A license.

“Aside from his accomplishments as a coach, Mike provides great insight into how our club can grow and continue to be impactful to the local soccer community.” shared team General Manager, J. Ramon Estevez. “Additionally, like Head Coach Javier Ayala-Hil, Mike brings with him very strong ties to local players, coaches, and the soccer landscape in general.”

"Mike brings a tremendous amount of experience to our staff. He knows the local landscape very well and he is very ambitious in growing the SF Glens brand. I couldn't be happier having him on board.", added Head Coach Javier Ayala-Hil.

“It’s an honor and an exciting opportunity for me to be apart of the first team in its inaugural season. As one of the Club Directors for the past 6 years, helping oversee a period of significant growth, to now be a part of this new journey is something that I take great pride in. I am looking forward to working closely with Javier and Ramon to make the first season a huge success. I also would like to thank the Board of Directors for having the confidence in me to assume this position.”, said Mike McNeill.

The San Francisco Glens will play their 2018 PDL Home Games at historic Boxer Stadium, where The Glens first began play in 1961.  Season Tickets are available at www.sfglens.com.
