SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – San Francisco’s newest PDL team made two additions to the technical staff today, both with local connections. Former Cal player and current SF State Assistant Men's Soccer Coach Evan Sassano will join the team, serving in the same capacity for the SF Glens PDL team.

Meanwhile, current SF Glens Evolution Academy Director and former U.S. Youth National Team member, Steven Sosa will come on board as a Technical Consultant.

"We're excited to keep adding local, experienced staff members to our team. These are coaches with high level NCAA, domestic, and foreign pro experience. Guys that can pull a player aside and provide real world advice to help get them to the next level.", said President and General Manager J. Ramon Estevez.

Sassano followed his playing days at Cal with stays in Germany and Holland before ending his pro career in Minnesota in 2012.

"I have coached alongside Evan for the past 5 years. We have established a wonderful professional relationship over the years. We have similar views on how to approach the game, so we compliment each other fairly well.", said Head Coach Javier Ayala-Hil.

Sosa, a U17 World Cup Starter and NCAA All-American at UCSB, is a Marin County native and has served as DOC at Central Marin, US Soccer Scout, PDP Coach, and served as Assistant Men's Coach at USF.

"Steven is a great addition to an already exciting lineup of technical staff members. He is a local guy that has played at a very high level and even represented the United States at the youth national team level. He knows the club very well and will add a lot to the first team.", added Technical Director Mike McNeill.

The San Francisco Glens will play their 2018 PDL Home Games at historic Boxer Stadium, where The Glens first began play in 1961.  Season Tickets are available at www.sfglens.com.
