Biography

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Glens announced today that midfielder Peyton Marcisz has signed with the club for the 2023 USL W League season, pending league approval.

A U.S. Youth National Team veteran, Marcisz was TopDrawerSoccer’s No. 20 overall recruit in 2022 coming into her freshman season with UCLA, who eventually won the NCAA national championship.

“I’m so excited to be back in the Bay Area this summer to play with the SF Glens with some talented players and amazing coaches,” said Marcisz. “Up the Glens!”

Originally from San Mateo, California, the Hillsdale High School graduate won three combined national championships over the course of a club career with the San Jose Earthquakes Academy, and later, Bay Area Surf.

“I’m excited to announce the signing of Peyton Marcisz,” said Glens head coach Mike Sharabi. “She is playing at the highest collegiate level at the moment at UCLA coming off a national championship. She’s a midfielder with a great command of the ball. Looking forward to working with her.”

“Peyton plays a key role in the midfield for us,” said assistant coach Heath Piper. “She’s a very crafty and elusive player on the dribble. She’s also very dangerous around the box as she can find many ways to find the back of the net. Peyton is very fun to watch and the fans will enjoy her unique style.”
