The San Francisco Glens announced Tuesday the signing of teenage sensation Angel Iñiguez to their First Team in USL League Two.
Iñiguez, a product of the Glens Academy and partner club Bay City FC, led the Glens' Under-16 team to a No. 2 state ranking and the club's first ever invitation to the Dallas Cup.
The attacking midfielder was also the only player from San Francisco selected by Sueño Alianza for their National Showcase team that traveled to Spain last November on a tour sponsored by LaLiga. Iñiguez, who turned 16 in April, scored against Atlético Madrid during the trip.
Iñiguez's signing marks the 11th player from the Glens Academy, Bay City FC, or their Second Team in the SFSFL to climb the ladder to the First Team roster.
