The Green and White host the defending Southwest champs at Skyline

SAN FRANCISCO — At long last, the San Francisco Glens will return to action after a two-year hiatus when they open their USL League Two season at home against FC Golden State Force on May 13.

The Green and White will host the defending Southwest Division champions at Skyline College, which was to be the Glens' new home before the global pandemic stalled operations for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

"It feels great to be back," said Glens executive director Mike McNeill. "Not having our first team competing the past two seasons has been frustrating, but we've weathered the storm and we're looking forward to making up for lost time with a great season."

Despite the Force's dominance over the rest of the division, the Glens have always played them tough at home. In their last two trips to Boxer Stadium, FC Golden State could only manage a scoreless draw and a 2-2 verdict where the visitors were aided by a controversial goal that was not annulled for a potential offside call.

Ticket information and player announcements will be coming soon, so keep checking sfglens.com for updates.

Open tryouts have been announced for Saturday, Feb. 13, also at Skyline. Registration information will be up on sfglens.com shortly.
