Host Ballard FC awaits in the Western semifinals Sunday 2pm

SEATTLE — The San Francisco Glens upset top-seeded Capital FC 3-2 in the Western Conference Quarterfinals in dramatic fashion to win their first USL League Two playoff game in club history.

Goals from Max Chrétien and Junior Mahi propelled the Glens to a 2-0 lead, but Capital, the newly rebranded Portland Timbers U23 team, refused to wilt, scoring two quick goals in the second half to even the score.

The momentum shifted in the 79th minute when Capital earned a penalty kick but Glens goalkeeper Eliot Jones batted Jerome Tibbling's attempt away to keep the score knotted at 2-2.

Four minutes later, Nathan Simeon would notch his second assist of the day as his cross rolled around the box for Chrétien, who weaved his way around the back line and slotted the decisive and historic game-winner for San Francisco.

The Glens now face host Ballard FC in Seattle on Sunday at 2pm in the Western Conference Semifinal. The game will stream live HERE.
