Former WPSL Offensive Player of the Year joins attacking corps for 2023

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Glens Soccer Club announced today that forward Jessie Halladay has signed on for the 2023 USL W League season, pending league approval.

A versatile forward with a penchant for creating chances for others as well as herself, Halladay played all 17 games as a freshman for Loyola Marymount University before transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

“I’m super pumped to be playing for the San Francisco Glens alongside some awesome players and some great coaches,” said Halladay. “I’ll see you all out there. Up the Glens!”

A native of Los Gatos, California and graduate of Los Gatos High School, she enjoyed an illustrious club career with the San Jose Earthquakes Academy and Bay Area Surf, winning three combined national championships. She later earned WPSL Pac North Conference Offensive Player of the Year and Best XI honors at senior level for Surf.

"Jessie is a dynamic player that is sure to showcase what she can do on the pitch this summer," said Glens head coach Mike Sharabi. "We will be looking for her to play a creative role in our attack, while combining with her teammates in the final third."

“Jess is a magician with the ball,” added Glens assistant coach Yvan Trevino. “One of the most creative players I have seen. Just wait until you see what this athlete brings to the table on attack. Relentless, joyful and a passionate athlete. Innate fuúbol. Truly can't wait to share the experience with her again!”

The San Francisco Glens are entering their first USL W League season in the NorCal Division. Open tryouts will take place March 12 at Skyline College. Register now at sfglens.com/tryouts.
