Mountain West All-Conference performer adds leadership, versatility to 2023 roster

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Glens Soccer Club announced today that midfielder Sabrina Weinman has signed on for the 2023 USL W League season, pending league approval.

The San Jose State captain brings leadership and experience, starting 19 of 22 games in 2022 as the Spartans won the Mountain West Tournament Final. She also earned All-Mountain West Second Team for the first time this past season, as well as All-Academic Mountain West for the fourth consecutive campaign.

“I’m so excited to play with the SF Glens this upcoming season,” said Weinman. “Hope to see you out there. Up the Glens!”

Originally from Bakersfield, California, the graduate of South High School has made an impact since her arrival in San Jose, earning Mountain West Newcomer of the Year as well in 2019.

“Sabrina is a versatile midfielder who can play all three midfield positions,” said Glens head coach Mike Sharabi. “Being a captain for San Jose State, we will be looking for her to bring those leadership qualities to our team.”

The San Francisco Glens are entering their first USL W League season in the NorCal Division. Open tryouts will take place March 11 at Skyline College. Register now at sfglens.com/tryouts.
