USL League Two, W League doubleheaders to air on KRON4.com, KRONon app

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Glens Soccer Club announced Thursday it has renewed its English language broadcast partnership with KRON4 to stream select games on KRON4.com and the KRONon app for both the 2023 USL League Two men’s season and the inaugural USL W League campaign for its first women’s team, currently sitting at No. 1 nationally in the latest Power Rankings.

KRON4.com and the KRONon app will stream at least three afternoon doubleheaders as part of the “SF Glens Summer Soccer Series.” The first edition kicks off on Saturday, May 27 with a men’s League Two matchup against Davis Legacy, followed by a women’s W League clash with Stockton Cargo. On Sunday, June 11, the Glens renew their Bay Bridge rivalry with the Oakland Roots, as the men face Project 51O while the women take on Oakland Soul. Then on Sunday, June 25, the docket features a game against Monterey Bay FC II’s men and a highly anticipated showdown with perennial powerhouse California Storm on the women’s side.

“We’re excited to partner with KRON4 again after a successful first season that resulted in our men’s team’s first national playoff berth in club history,” said Ryan Maquiñana, the Glens’ Director of Partnerships and Communications. “To be able to showcase our new women’s team as well now on the KRONon platform is a tremendous opportunity and a big step toward leveling the playing field for our Bay Area soccer community.”

The KRONon app is free and can be found on the iOS and Android mobile platforms, as well as on smart TVs with Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. In addition to Glens’ games, KRONon streams live, local news 24/7, including breaking news, live press conferences, special reports and much more.

“KRON4 is always locally focused. We’re thrilled to again participate in the opportunity to showcase live local sports delivering these events to our communities around the Bay,” said Jim Rose, KRON4 Vice President and General Manager.

In addition, the club is proud to welcome back Kylen Mills to the broadcast team for her second season as primary analyst and new play-by-play announcer Ben Ross.

Mills can be seen on a variety of soccer outlets, most recently as a host and analyst on Apple TV for the San Jose Earthquakes. She has also called NWSL games on Paramount Plus as well as a variety of sports for outlets like ESPN+ and NBC Sports Bay Area. Ross, a Bay Area soccer broadcasting veteran, will be reuniting with Mills as the two have previously worked together on the Pac-12 and WCC Networks. Ross also announces games for ESPN+, Stadium and FloSports.
