SAN FRANCISCO (April 17, 2024)  —  The San Francisco Glens announced today that Joep Wouters has re-signed with the club for the 2024 USL League Two season, pending league approval.

A native of Amsterdam, Netherlands, the midfielder played for Santa Barbara Community College for a pair of seasons before transferring to Florida Atlantic University in 2023.

“I’m excited to be coming back this summer to play with you guys,” said Wouters. “I’m looking forward to winning. Up the Glens!”

Wouters played the last season at FAU in Boca Raton, Florida, registering one assist in over 11 games played with the Owls.

Now entering his second USL League Two season with the Glens, Wouters is aiming to add to his contributions in 2023.

“We are delighted to have Joep return to us this summer,” said Glens head coach Liam Guest. “Joep is a tactically sound player, who brings a lot of experience both at the collegiate level and in USL League Two. I am excited to work with him again ahead of the 2024 season.”

The San Francisco Glens are kicking off the 2024 USL League Two campaign on the road on Saturday, May 11 vs. Almaden FC. Tickets for home games will be available soon.
