Proven striker set to return to San Francisco’s attacking fold

SAN FRANCISCO (April 23, 2024)  —  The San Francisco Glens Soccer Club announced today that Nonso Adimabua has re-signed with the club for the 2024 USL League Two season, pending league approval.

A native of Asaba, Nigeria, the forward rejoins the Glens, looking to build on his 2023 season, in which he contributed three goals, including a memorable brace in the SF derby.

“I’m excited to come back with the team this summer,” said Adimabua. “I’m looking forward to seeing the coaches and the players. I know it’s going to be a good season. Let’s go get it. Up the Glens!”

Adimabua played the last season at the University of California-Berkeley, registering a goal and three assists with the Golden Bears.

Prior to transferring to Cal in 2022, Adimabua featured for the University of San Francisco for a pair of seasons, earning 2020-21 WCC Freshman of the Year honors.

“Nonso was a massive part of our success last season,” said Glens head coach Liam Guest. “He is an exciting player to watch who provides our team with a lot of strengths in the attacking third. We are very happy to have retained Nonso for another season, which we hope is filled with success.”

The San Francisco Glens are kicking off the 2024 USL League Two campaign on the road on Saturday, May 11 vs. Almaden FC. Tickets for home games will be available soon.
