SAN FRANCISCO (May 3, 2024) — The San Francisco Glens Soccer Club announced today that Texas Christian University midfielder Jennie Immethun has re-signed for the 2024 USL W League season, pending league approval.

Immethun is coming off a productive collegiate season at TCU where she started 10 of 15 games last season. Known for her superlative technical ability, the holding midfielder was off the pitch for only nine minutes of TCU’s Big 12 play in 2023.

A U.S. Youth National Team camp veteran at Under-18/19 level, Immethun logged 981 minutes of action, helping the Horned Frogs register seven clean sheets.

“I’m super excited to be back this season,” said Immethun. “I’m looking forward to getting back to The City and seeing what we can do this summer. Up the Glens!”

At club level, Immethun’s teams at the San Jose Earthquakes Academy and later, Bay Area Surf, won a trio of national championships.

The San Jose native and Piedmont Hills High School graduate returns to the Glens after playing a major role in the club’s successful inaugural USL W League season, earning Player of the Game honors on two occasions.

"We’re really looking forward to having Jennie back this season," said head coach Jessica Hewins. "She held down our midfield by dismantling opponents' attacks as well as being a key playmaker for us. She was a consistent leader and one of the main reasons we were able to make a deep run in the playoffs."

The San Francisco Glens are kicking off the 2024 USL W League campaign on the road on Saturday, May 18 vs. Academica SC. Home tickets will go on sale soon.
