PLEASANTON, Calif. — The San Francisco Glens drew 2-2 with Pleasanton Rage at the Stanford Medicine Sports Complex in the USL W League on Wednesday night.
The girls in green put together a remarkable late comeback after Pleasanton Rage had found themselves holding on to a surprise two goal lead. A quick goal from Mia Fontana and a stunning free kick from Jessica Halladay gave the Glens a chance to win the match with just two minutes of added time remaining. Unfortunately time ran out, but the Glens picked up a potentially valuable point on the road.
The Glens travel to Oakland to take on Oakland Soul in their final regular season game of the season. The playoffs will be on the line with the Glens likely requiring a win to advance.
