OAKLAND, Calif. — The San Francisco Glens fell 1-3 to Oakland Soul at Merritt College in the USL W League on Sunday evening.

In a high-stakes match on the final day of the season, the SF Glens narrowly lost to Oakland Soul, with the final Nor Cal Division playoff spot on the line in front of a sold-out crowd of over 2,000. The Glens conceded an early goal but quickly equalized through Julia Saunicheva. However, two additional goals from the Soul in the first half left the Glens needing three second-half goals to secure a playoff spot. Despite dominating the remainder of the match, hitting the post, and pushing hard for a comeback, the Glens ultimately ran out of time.
