SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The San Francisco Glens won 1-0 against Davis Legacy at Skyline College in USL League Two action on Saturday afternoon.
A lone goal from Nonso Adimabua was enough to secure all three points in a hard-fought contest against Davis Legacy. Both sides would trade counter-attacks for the remainder of the match, with Davis coming close on three or four occasions, creating a palpable sense of tension on the field. Despite these close calls, the Glens' defense remained resolute.
Center-back Shayan Charalaghi was particularly instrumental in maintaining the clean sheet, making several crucial goal-saving blocks. His defensive prowess was a key factor in thwarting Davis Legacy's attempts, preserving the Glens' narrow lead. Charalaghi's efforts exemplified the team's determination and resilience, ensuring that Adimabua's lone goal was enough to secure victory.
The Glens return to Skyline for their final match of the season on Wednesday against Academica SC.
