San Francisco (February 2, 2025) - San Francisco Glens Soccer Club is thrilled to unveil a groundbreaking new partnership with Liga X, launching a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) program aimed at empowering athletes while fostering player growth across the club’s USL League Two and USL W League teams.
As part of this expanded collaboration, Liga X, the Glens' primary sponsor of the youth academy, will now offer NIL opportunities to college-aged players. This initiative will enable players to receive financial support, helping them build their personal brands as they compete at the top levels of pre-professional soccer.
“With the evolution of NILs in sports, we want to create an environment where our players benefit from their hard work and dedication while continuing their development on and off the field,” said Mike McNeill, Executive Director of the San Francisco Glens. “This expanded partnership with Liga X strengthens our mission to professionalize our USL League Two and USL W League programs and deliver a best-in-class training environment.”
This program is an integral part of the club's larger vision to create more opportunities for young athletes, expand the youth academy, and establish clear pathways to collegiate and pre-professional soccer. Additional details about the program will be released in the coming weeks.
