Kierra brings a decade of experience, global perspective, and passion for player development

San Francisco, CA (April 28, 2025) – The San Francisco Glens are excited to officially welcome Kierra Scalercio as our new 9v9 and 7v7 Technical Director. A respected coach and mentor in the Bay Area soccer community, Scalercio brings more than a decade of experience at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels, along with a lifelong passion for the game.

Since 2010, Scalercio has coached with Mill Valley Soccer Club, SoccerFours, and several Bay Area high schools, including Sacred Heart Cathedral, Convent, Branson, and Lowell High School, and has held assistant coaching roles with the women’s soccer programs at both Dominican University and College of Marin.

Scalercio has also taken teams abroad to compete in tournaments across Europe and South America, providing players with transformative soccer and cultural experiences. Through her nonprofit work with SoccerFours, she has championed small-sided, pickup-style play as a means of skill development and community impact while raising funds to support local initiatives.

A former player with the San Francisco NightHawks (WPSL) and a current player for CaliBeach Soccer Club, Scalercio is still active on the field and brings firsthand playing experience into every session. She holds a USSF C License and is continuing her coaching education to stay at the forefront of the game.

With Kierra joining the coaching staff, Glens Executive Director Mike McNeill emphasized the impact her addition will have on the club’s continued growth.

“We’re incredibly excited to add Kierra to our coaching staff. Her approach to player development emphasizes technical mastery, creativity, and joy for the game. All are values that are central to our philosophy at the Glens. We are confident Kierra’s leadership will be instrumental in cultivating a strong foundation for our 7v7 and 9v9 platforms.”

The San Francisco Glens are thrilled to welcome Kierra Scalercio to the club and look forward to the leadership, inspiration, and coaching expertise she will bring to the next generation of Glens players.
