The San Francisco Glens collected their first win of the 2025 USL W League campaign Sunday, blanking Academica 10-0 in their debut match at Treasure Island Stadium.
The Glens opened the scoring early, when a ball played in front of the frame by Maia Beltran induced an own goal from Academica keeper Scarlet Gonzalez in the 13th minute, giving San Francisco its first W League goal at Treasure Island and a 1-0 lead.

Beltran collected a true assist in the 17th minute, connecting with Viet-thy Tran for the latter’s first score of the season. A third goal came in the 38th minute on a cross from Elena Vera, allowing another San Francisco attacker to let the ball pass through to Savannah Leifried whose goal gave the Glens a 3-0 lead. A hard-charging Francesca Johnson scored in the 41st minute before she scored off of an assist from Alyssa Jurado just before half to go up 5-0.
Johnson struck once more in the 59th minute, slotting a third goal for her first-ever hat trick with the Glens. Liefried scored again in the 65th minute for her second goal as San Francisco handily led 7-0.
The goalkeeping tandem of Bianca Dominguez and Isabella Bañuelos secured a combined clean sheet for the Glens, both making athletic plays to ward off dangerous crosses from Academica.
Coming on at the half, Alana Owens scored on a firm strike from outside of the box in the 72nd minute before assisting a Beltran goal two minutes later. Owens found the back of the net once more in the 83rd minute for the 10th goal of the late afternoon fixture.
San Francisco returns to the pitch Wednesday at San Juan FC before hosting Marin FC Siren – the teams drew 1-1 at the Dominican University of California on May 7 – at Treasure Island next Saturday.
