San Francisco Glens SC (3-6-1) got back in the win column Saturday, defeating crosstown rivals Olympic Club (3-4-0) 8-0 from Treasure Island in the final 2025 meeting between the two USL W League sides.
Jessie Halladay shined in her 2025 W League debut, scoring four times in the contest to pace San Francisco as it avenged its May 14 loss to Olympic Club, who won an exciting back-and-forth contest earlier this season 4-3.
The Glens opened up the scoring on the sunny Saturday afternoon, notching a pair of goals before the 20th minute.
First, Jocelyn Travers played the ball across the box, and after Leilani Cortez-Ramirez let the ball pass through her legs so it could reach the feet of Emmie Ennis, the latter scored in the 13th minute to put the Glens up 1-0.
Four minutes later, Travers did the scoring, getting an assist from Elle Piper and collecting a goal to make it 2-0.
Following an assist early in her 2025 Glens debut, Piper was substituted for Alana Owens – Owens took advantage, scoring after just three minutes in the contest to extend San Francisco’s lead to 3-0.
In the 36th minute, Ennis passed the ball across the penalty area to the left side of the box, allowing a fourth team goal to come from Jessie Halladay.
The Glens struck again to start the second stanza, first on a deflected goal by halftime substitute Gianna Yslava in the 60th minute and then from on a strike from Halladay, who secured a brace off of an assist by Angelema Akinyirige to make it 6-0 for the hosts.
Halladay would rebound a saved shot from Yslava minutes later to get her third goal of the afternoon before adding a fourth goal in extra time to punctuate a remarkable Treasure Island debut for the rising Cal Poly senior.
San Francisco plays its next two matches at home; the Glens have collected all three of their victories on the campaign from Treasure Island. The team takes on San Juan next Wednesday at 3 PM before hosting Oakland Soul on June 29.
