Environmental education company to sponsor Glens for inaugural season

San Francisco Glens Soccer Club is proud to announce that Renewable Rascals LLC will be an Official Premium Sponsor heading into the team’s inaugural season in the USL Premier Development League (PDL).

“The Glens are absolutely elated to have Renewable Rascals LLC as a partner,” said team president and general manager J. Ramon Estevez. “We’re both community-focused and youth-focused organizations. Sharing the same goals is something that makes this partnership an excellent fit—especially with their CEO/Chief Content Officer John Patrick and his family being members of the Glens’ community on the youth side.”

“We’re definitely excited to team up with SF Glens SC, especially since our daughter played in the SF Glens Evolution youth pyramid,” Patrick said. “Our company is about teaching kids about environmentalism and natural resources. We see our partnership with the Glens as a great opportunity to spread the word about Renewable Rascals while supporting our local soccer team as well from a sponsorship perspective.”

About Renewable Rascals LLC

The Renewable Rascals is a company dedicated to the environmental education of children, introducing and teaching them about sustainable, renewable, and conservation concepts. We accomplish this in a fun, interactive way through role models and animal characters that represent solar, wind, water, geothermal, composting, and recycling.

The Renewable Rascals characters are: Sunny the Solar Squirrel and her friends Hubert the Hydro Hippo, Wattu the Windy Warbler, Rooney the Recycle Raccoon, Kilo & Kamo the Compost Kittens, and Garvin the Geothermal Gopher. They are the environmental heroes that children can learn from and emulate in their daily lives and help inspire them to become strong, global stewards of our renewable future, with the goal of kids being Renewable Rascals themselves.

Shortly we will be introducing a book series, educational apps, and merchandise that will introduce the Renewable Rascals and their respective passions for the environment to you and your family.

About the San Francisco Glens

Founded in 1961, the San Francisco Glens have been a mainstay of the San Francisco soccer landscape for decades, winning numerous titles in the historic San Francisco Soccer Football League and competing for national titles throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

The addition of the San Francisco Glens’ PDL team is the latest evidence of the club’s growth. Along with the Glens’ youth club, SF Glens Evolution—a U.S. Soccer Development Academy affiliate and official North American partner of Celtic FC’s Academy—the Glens are the largest soccer club in San Francisco, providing all levels of competition to nearly 1,500 youth and adult soccer players.

The Glens’ first game in PDL franchise history will take place May 5th at Boxer Stadium against the Santa Cruz Breakers. The home schedule includes the first San Francisco Derby against rival SF City FC on June 2 as well as other notable games against defending PDL Western Conference champion Golden State Force, LA Galaxy affiliate San Diego Zest, LAFC affiliate Orange County SC U-23, L.A.-based SoCal Seahorses, and perennial playoff contender Fresno FC U-23.

Season tickets and single-game tickets are available at sfglens.com/tickets.
